Chuck and Debbie Robinson have been interested in seashells and the seashore since childhood. They both grew up on the New Jersey shore and together they have been combing beaches since 1984. The Robinsons have searched for seashells on United States East Coast beaches from Florida to Maine. They have also been shelling in the Bahamas, Bermuda, St. Martin, Hawaii, California, and in the United States Virgin Islands at St. Thomas and St. John.
Chuck is managing their publishing company, Old Squan Village Publishing,
Manasquan, NJ. He is marketing and distributing their books and producing
and marketing his seashore photography. Chuck is a former contributing
photographer to the Coast Star Newspapers, Manasquan, NJ.
Debbie has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Master of Science
Degree in Education. She is also the Director of Business Education and
Training at Ocean County College, Toms River, New Jersey.
Chuck and Debbie have both of their titles in slide format. They lecture
extensively, presenting to schools, libraries, reading conferences,
community organizations, and nature groups. The Robinsons are members
of the Small Press Center of New York, Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum,
and the Philadelphia Shell Club.
